Win Andrea
Reynolds' home... with "TEN REASONS WHY YOU WANT TO OWN
THIS HOME"
CIVILTIY expert to award furnished home as prize in BRAINSTORM contest
[ Girard, PA] Andrea
Reynolds left everything behind 6 years ago and is about
to do it again.
To finance her cross country trek to
, she is handing over the keys to a furnished mobile home...
permanently. With a brainstormed list someone could win a furnished
3 bedroom, 2 bathroom mobile home in northwest
Pennsylvania near Lake Erie. As soon as she raises $21,000,
she will award the Girard home to the winning family or individual.
What makes this contest
different from those "win this million dollar country inn"
essay contests?
1. There is no entry fee. (Read the contest FAQ.) The contest is closed.
2. Instead of an essay to write
- expository writing is daunting work for many people - entrants
can submit a brainstormed list of Ten Reasons Why They Want to
Own Andrea's Home. This exercise is to get people to think. The
winning entry will be chosen for its originality, integrity, and sincerity.
3. The home, appliances,
and furnishings are not brand new nor ultra expensive
like the HGTV Dream Home Sweepstakes; they are pre-owned, modest,
but very clean, comfortable, serviceable, in good repair, and
well-maintained. More than adequate, if you don't own as much.
4. The local newspaper in the town in
which the winner resides will also win. That paper will receive
a free article from Andrea for possible publication.
Who should enter
this contest? The
contest is closed.
- Homeless families who need an affordable
home where they can start over.
- Baby boomers who wish their 30 year
old kids would finally move out on their own.
- Couples or singles who are living with
their parents and wish they could move out on their own.
- Generous people who know someone in
need they want to make a gift of the home.
- Church groups who adopt and house families
in transition or new immigrants.
- Service groups who want to sell the
prize to raise funds for a community project.
- Newly married couples who can't yet
afford their first "starter" home.
- Canadian residents who would like to
have a cottage in the United States.

northern summer home.

- Retired couples who are looking for
a less expensive, less populated area.
- Writers who want a private place to
work on a long term book project.
- Big City couples who want a not-so-urban
pied-`a-terre away from pollution.
- Newly separated parents who need a second
home with room for kids and pets.
- Persons who are wheel chair bound who
need a one-level home. (Ramps can be easily added to front and
back entrances.)
- (Think of your own situation or use
your imagination.)
People may submit multiple entries and
friends and family members may enter on behalf of someone. The
winner will be identified on Andrea Reynolds' web site, www.CrisisBrainstorm.com,
as will contributors who help Andrea
reach her goal. Individuals may also contribute by booking 20 minute private phone advice sessions
with Andrea or a range of other needed
supplies and equipment for the year long tour. The contest is closed.

BACKGROUND
Why is Andrea Reynolds giving away her
home?
"I want to criss-cross North America
meeting people face to face, promoting civility and critical
thinking skills. There are so many people facing poverty and
homelessness and dispicable treatment by others who feel hopeless.
I want to speak to businesses and students, write and self-syndicate
my civility column to US and Canadian newspapers. I decided to
give away the house so I can travel across the country to discover
what crises people face to which I can offer unconventional solutions."
The home could mean a new life for a
financially strapped couple or family who can afford the monthly
park rent ($200), utilities and the annual property taxes ($450)...
but can't afford to buy it. The
contest is closed.
"Everyone who has toured my home
loves it and wants it immediately; but they can't get traditional
financing from local banks, and aren't pro-active enough to order
and read my report, "25 Unconventional
Ways to Raise $25,000 to $250,000 or More". So, I had
to be creative if I wanted to find a buyer," Andrea admits.
"Because I teach creative problem-solving, I simply turned
home selling upside-down."
