- A share of profits per book sold
- Name in book as a Patron (with web site URL)
- Invitation to suggest charities to receive 10% of profits.
- Invitation to share also in spinoff profits (like keynote speeches on The Generosity Experiment)
How Andrea plans to allocate money from books sold (estimated):
- PayPal transaction fees on each unit sold (5%): $1.50 per book or less
- Charity (10% of $27.50): $2.75
- 2400 Patrons (48% of $24.75): $11.88
- Each Patron receives $.00495 per book
- Author-Publisher-Promoter (52% of net): 12.87
- If 10,000 books sold (not counting initial 2400), each Patron should receive $49.50.
- Each $24 unit provides a $25.50 "dividend" (double your money back).
- More units/books ordered early means more money back
Other income that may also count toward profit-sharing:
- Speaking engagements specific to The Generosity Experiment
- Spinoff tips booklets sold, specific to The Generosity Experiment
- Spinoff articles sold, specific to The Generosity Experiment
- Spinoff reports sold, specific to The Generosity Experiment
- Spinoff columns sold, specific to The Generosity Experiment
Responsibilities of Sponsors:
- Don't share contents of book without permission... we want all the sales possible. The more books sold, the more profits to share.
- Encourage sales to friends, co-workers, etc.; but no spamming.
- Don't constantly ask me how the book is coming along or how your investment is doing: I'll send or post a report every Friday.
- Don't ask me to buy your services because I'm on a tight budget and extra expenses aren't possible.
- Don't invite me to lunch, dinner, parties to meet your friends and colleagues during the writing process. I'm working to a tight deadline and socializing will delay the completion of the book.
- Do invite me to speak to your organization's conference as a keynote speaker (not free).
Responsibilities of Author-Publisher-Promoter:
- Complete the book on time: end of November 2010.
- Promote the book for a minimum of 12 months after book completed.
- Handle all order fulfillment.
- Appear at press and media interviews.
- Appear at speaking engagements where invited.
- Write and distribute weekly reports for sponsors (Fridays).
- Disburse profits monthly (end of month) until December 31, 2011, unless it makes sense to extend the end date.
- Web site (AndreaReynolds.com)
- Blog posts
- Podcasts (when I figure out how to do make them.)
- News releases
- Radio interviews (online, offline)
- Newspaper interviews
- TV program guest appearances
- Commissioned articles and excerpts
